Someone I guess called Darcy gave my phone # as her contact phone #. There is no Darcy that lives here, it is my cell phone #, did speak with the Manager from Remit Corp on September 22,2009 and has assured me that I would no longer get phone calls. Some automated system kept on calling me on September 12th, to one point they drained my battery on my cell phone. While it was plugged in the phone rang, I ran to the phone since I was expecting a call from my solider that is in Afganistan only to find this machine telling me to punch in my case #. I don't have a case #. When I called the number back on Monday September 14th, they would not tell me who they were, but wanted my personal information, including SSN#, address and the likes. All I gave them is my phone # & my name. Asked to be taken off the list. I been hung up on, and the calls kept on comming. On September 22 I spoke with a supervisor still not telling me who they were and he assured me that the number was taken out of their system. Well today my step-dad died and guess what I got an other one of those calls. This time it was a person asking for Darcy. I was furious. I called back and told them that I would file a harrassment charge on them and I wanted to speak with the manager. No manager was available. I hung up, guess what the manager called, finally I got the name of the company as Remit Corporation. I don't have his name but their phone # is all over the history on my cell phone 570-387-1011. How do I make them stop harrassing me. I do not have a case with them. I do pity the ones that do. Yes the automated service does call before 8.a.m. in the morning especially on Saturday, call on Sunday's during diner, it does not care.

Remit Corporation calls constantly, multiple times per day, everyday. They even called on Thanksgiving morning! I didn't think they could but the proof is on my caller ID.

i have been trying to get someone on the phone for the last 45 min. and all i get is a busy signal. do they exist why do they not answere the PHONE!!!!!

Yes they exist they are located in Bloomsburg pa what you need to do is tell them to cease calling you if they do not file a complaint. Read your rights under the Fair Debt and Collection Act. I used to work for Remit Corporation. They are allowed under law one contact with you a day, not before nine in the am and not on Sunday.(this includes a message on answering machine)The owner is Harry Strausser (spelling?)

Remit Corp is it?They've called me too and I did tell them to stop calling.I'm not even the person they want some "Carl".The same last name and they wont stop calling. Im planning a visit to their office.Lets see how it goes.

Had set up payments with Remit Corp. for $200 per month. They did not take a payment for 2 consecutive months, so with no communication from them, I assumed the debt was satisfied. On the 3rd month $200 was withdrawn from my checking account, without authorization, which overdrew my account and cost me even more money! Seriously can they do this?

No they cant. But they will if we give them checking account numbers!!!NEVER EVER give out a collection agency your personal info like banking info, checking account numbers, SS number etc.The next thing we know poof the money is withdrawn.
