My friend is being called continuously by a person from National Collection Agency for a non existent debt. The caller harasses her by demanding a one time large repayment of the debt without validating the debt in writing. He calls my friend’s husband and at work place too. The caller uses extremely rude and abusive language, and threatens to garnish her wages. My friend has started getting panic attacks and had to be admitted to the hospital for treatment.

I sent a Cease and Desist letter to National Collection Agency but their agents still call me for a personal debt. They have not troubled me in any other form but I would not like them calling me again for the debt. There are better ways to work out to settle the debt.
