I owe Discover Card an amount of $2300.00. I have been paying it off regularly and will complete the payment by this year end. However, suddenly I have started getting calls from Client Services Inc. who claim that Discover Card has retained them to collect the debt with extra charges. When I contacted Discover Card people they denied the allegations. I don't want to pay these people but cannot take this harassment any more. Is there a way out of this?

I never heard of Client Services Inc. until last week when I started getting calls from this collection agency. If anyone has heard about this agency please share the knowledge with me. The call comes from a toll free number. Client services representative repeats the calls every alternate day. He does not call during weekends but he calls at inconvenient times. I asked him to validate the debt but he has not called after that.

A debt collector called me everyday on my cell phone. I have blocked the number now. He called every three days and has made a total of 22 calls. He left voice messages sometimes but made no legal threats. He sent a letter to me but this does not look like a debt validation letter. The letter was on a bond paper with Bank of America logo and does not carry any information about the debt account number and original creditor's name which should be there on a validation letter.
